Other helpful items to bring with you include: polarized sunglasses, a cap, plenty of sunscreen and of course a camera to capture all the excitement of your trip. Rain squalls are not uncommon on the Gulf and you may want to bring along a backpack with a beach towel and some rain gear or a lightweight jacket.
For our overnight excursions, we recommend not only the items mentioned above, but also toiletries, several changes of clothing (in case you get caught in a rain squall) and snack foods and drinks.
The Pescador III is a 51-foot Sportfisher with a maximum capacity of 16 people. This boat was specially designed to accommodate bottom fishing and trolling fishing. This boat is a popular choice when it comes to fishing trips because it’s fully equipped with all the gear necessary for a day of fishing.
With the Pescador III, any time is a good time! The area around Destin is some the most productive waters of the Gulf. Captain Mike has been fishing these waters since the late 80’s and brings with him an experienced crew who will ensure you and your group have a successful day fishing.
What we catch is dependent on the season and of course what’s biting. Our bottom fishing excursions tend to hook red snapper, trigger fish, amberjack, black grouper and red grouper. For trolling fishing in shallower waters, we see plenty of King and Spanish mackerel. If you’re hoping to haul in larger fish like blue or white marlin, sailfish, wahoo, dolphin or tuna, then you’ll want to enjoy a full day at sea with our deep sea fishing trip, The Gulf of Mexico hosts a wide variety of fish, eager to bite. And you can rest assured that whatever fishing excursion you choose, Captain Mike and his experienced crew will get you to the fish. The most memorable fish that has ever been caught on the Pescador III is a 95 pound yellowfin tuna.
